Style 3 Weissenborn Guitar - Tasmanian Blackwood · AAA Grade Tasmanian Blackwood
The Style 3 has always been my favourite Weissenborn style. It strikes a beautiful balance between elegance and restraint. The traditional rope binding and intricate mother-of-pearl inlays elevate the instrument visually while still keeping the focus firmly on the wood itself.
When I first cut this Tasmanian Blackwood from the billet, I knew it would become a Style 3. The figuring has a natural movement to it — darker streaks and curls that seem to flow across the body — perfectly framed by the bold rope binding.
This also marks the first new Style 3 I’ve completed since the workshop fire, which makes this particular instrument feel especially meaningful to me.
