Style 1 Weissenborn Guitar - Tasmanian Blackwood · AAA Grade Tasmanian Blackwood
The standout feature of this Style 1 is the figuring: a beautifully flamed set of Tasmanian Blackwood that runs consistently across the top, back, and sides and carries through to the fretboard as well. As you might know, with a smaller number of builds planned for 2026 I'm focusing much of my efforts on showcasing stunning tonewoods as I draw from a supply of remarkable tonewoods that I have been collecting for many years.
Tonally, No. 498 retains the warm, full character I associate with Blackwood, with a clear and balanced response. The build follows my standard Style 1 approach — light, traditional, and focused on responsiveness — resulting in a guitar that feels immediate and easy to play.
